From the outset, we wanted dressed to a tee to be an ethical and environmentally conscious company. So when it came to our clothing we were adamant that we would use organic cotton, since the production would involve fewer pesticides than non-organic cotton. However, as we found out, for a small start-up company it is tough to find an organic cotton supplier who will work with small orders. Eventually, after twelve months of trying, we found a supplier in Pakistan who grows certified sustainable organic cotton. Not only is the cotton organic and ethical, but the fine yarns produce extremely high quality fabric that is very comfortable to wear. We are really pleased we persevered and stayed loyal to our beliefs. The experience showed us that by remaining determined and passionate in everything we do we can overcome obstacles to create the company we believe in.
